Creating Your Vision of Success

Creating Your Vision of Success
“What you want is irrelevant, what you have chosen is at hand.” ~Lt Spock, Star Trek

The ugly truth that we would all like to ignore is that we are all exactly where we are because of the choices we have made.  Choices about life, love, and business have shaped us all into the people we are today.  By the same token, it is what you are focusing on each day that is continually creating your reality.

If you are experiencing a lack of something in your life, check your focus.  What do you think about all day?  What are you giving your energy to?  Chances are you are spending a large majority of your day focused on the thing you are lacking. So, the way to turn this around is simply by focusing instead on what you desire.

Creating Your Vision of Success

The brain can not process a negative thought.  In other words, if I say “Don’t think about ice cream” – your brain will AUTOMATICALLY think about ice cream.  So if you are walking around thinking and worrying all the time that  “I don’t want to be broke, I never have ANY money” the brain is always thinking “no money”.  And the Universe will respond just so.  It is impossible to have vision and worry at the same time!

The Law of Attraction teaches us that “Thoughts become things.”  Meaning simply, what you worry about will come about.  Whether it is money, your health, your relationship – everything is effected in this way.  You can literally worry yourself into despair – bringing about all of those things you have put your focus on.

So what is the good news in all of this?  The good news is that you can change your life, simply in changing your thinking. “What your visualize you will actualize!!!” You can change the entire direction of your life by replacing your worries with a vision.

Define your vision.  Write it down.  Change your life.

So how do you define your vision for success?

First take a good clear look at your past?  How much of it has been governed by worry, fear, and regret?  Most people put their focus on what is missing from their life, instead of what they WANT in their life.

Creating Your Vision of Success

Begin writing down your idea of a perfect life.  Begin with “If time and money was no obstacle…”

Use these questions to help you design the entire vision:

  • Where would you live?
  • What would your house look like?
  • What would you drive?
  • Where would you travel?
  • What type of work would you do?
  • How would your health be?
  • What would your family be like?
  • How would you spend your days?

Have fun with this task and DREAM BIG! The Universe will only give you what you ask for, so you dont want to discover you have asked for the wrong things!!

Get your vision very clear in your head.  Write out your “perfect day” using all of the questions above.  Make copies and put them everywhere – beside your bed to read each night, in your desk to read on breaks, in your Planner to read when you have a spare few minutes.  The more you read, visualize, and focus on your vision, the more the Universe will work to give you the things you are asking for.

Having a vision is even more powerful that having a goal.  Your vision will lead you to and THROUGH your goals!  Make it a point to spend just a few minutes every single day on visualizing your perfect life, and let the Universe reward you.

When you find yourself worrying, whip out and read your Vision.  When you start feeling stressed and overwhelmed, spend 5 minutes visualizing your perfect life.

Only you can control your thoughts, and in turn control your life.  Get ahold of your thoughts now, and enjoy the journey to receiving the “perfect life.”

  1. I love this post… And I especially love the reference to Mr. Spock… yes I am a trekkie from way back… P.S. HIs title is Lt. Commander Spock.

Your post is good advice especially this time of year, when we focus on New Year’s Resolutions and making changes for the good of our lives and health… and businesses…. The trick is to allow yourself to dream as BIG as we can… most of the time we don’t feel that we deserve the Big things so we settle for the small. I will take the time to use your questions as a sprping board for my 2012 and my WAAAY BIG Dreams… Thanks for this.

  2. This is a great article. Thank you for the simplicity and especially the questions I need to ask myself, that is really alot of help. 🙂
